Extractions

Extractions are done for a number of reasons, but the most typical purpose is to remove teeth that have become unrestorable due to tooth decay, periodontal disease, or oral trauma, especially when they are associated with toothache.

Tooth extraction is usually relatively straightforward, and the vast majority can be usually performed quickly while the individual is awake by using local anaesthetic.

Tooth Extraction Risks

Pain, swelling, infection, dry socket, potential conversion to surgical extraction, sinus perforation, and nerve injury are all common risks of tooth extraction.
