Patient Information

Wanneroo Dental Centre is committed to your care.

During your first visit with us we will ask you to fill out a brief questionnaire to provide us with the information which helps us understand your medical and dental history and how we can better help you. If you wish, you can download a copy of the medical history questionnaire to fill out in advance of your appointment.

We may then need to take x-rays to get a clear and thorough picture of the current health of your teeth and gums. We use digital x rays which have up to 90% less radiation than conventional x rays. During this visit we will discuss with you any concerns you may have and together come up with a plan that you are comfortable and happy with.

All information provided remains confidential.

  • Payment is required on the day of service
  • We have HICAPS facilities and are able to process claims for private health funds at your appointment so that you just have to pay the gap fee where applicable.
  • We accept patients with current Veteran Affairs Gold Cards.
  • We Bulk bill the “Child Dental Benefits Scheme”. If you have a child who is 2 – 17 years old and eligible for Medicare, and you receive Family Tax Benefit Part A or certain other government payments, you may be eligible for up to $1000 in benefits towards your child’s dental service under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule.
  • We accept payments via cash, cheque, EFTPOS, credit card and direct deposit.
  • We do have payment plans including Afterpay and My Smile Plan which both offer interest free solutions to being able to budget for the dental care you want and need. Please ask our receptionists for further information

We make your experience as pleasant as possible with friendly, kind, gentle, high quality care. Our aim is for you to have the most comfortable dental experience possible with reliable outcomes. Our dentists have a combined experience of over 50 years and are committed to continuous improvement and training. We have a private car park with free parking for all our staff and patients. We have a very comfortable patient lounge where you can relax use our complimentary Wi-Fi or read a magazine. Our front desk staff are always ready to serve you a complimentary tea/coffee. Our dentists always have a gentle approach and will explain to you exactly what dental treatments are required and why, and we will always give a detailed written quote. Intra-oral cameras allow you to see what we see, enabling you to be informed about treatment choices and have peace of mind. All treatment options will be discussed, and you will be involved all the way through your treatment plan. Our brand new top of the range Adec Dental chairs with memory foam provide you with the greatest comfort for longer procedures. The EMS “No pain” Scaler has had great feedback from patients who have previously not enjoyed having their teeth cleaned. You may wish to watch a film or documentary on our ceiling mounted and wall mount televisions or listen to music via noise cancelling headphones when you are in the chair. We can play music of your choice through our Bose speakers even the most obscure radio station from the other side of the world. We understand dental anxiety and we will take special care to change your perception of dentistry. For those that are more anxious we can discuss medication that can taken prior to your visit or even sleep dentistry. (intravenous sedation) We also use Doterra aromatherapy oils throughout the practice to help create an atmosphere of calmness and peace.

IN AN EMERGENCY

Emergency Dentistry

We understand that dental emergencies can happen very unexpectedly and can be very stressful. Emergencies can potentially cause much more complicated issues if left unmanaged, so please contact us immediately for an assessment. This will reduce damage to teeth around the area, prevent development of serious consequences and improve the chance that the treatment needed is simple.

What constitutes a dental emergency?

  • Gum pain or swelling
  • Facial swelling
  • Broken/loose teeth or fillings
  • Dislodged crowns or broken dentures
  • Trauma and accidents.


Emergencies can be a traumatic experience. We at Wanneroo Dental Centre understand this and will endeavour to make the experience pass as comfortably as possible. We will am to see you as soon as possible to assess and manage the emergency. We provide stress-reduction strategies and can (depending on your circumstances) discuss sedation or sleep dentistry.
